INSIGNIFICANCE... [] (Adaptation of Chekov's Three Sisters) February 2018 This adaptation (fully named, Insignificance is sickening and love means nothing at all; all it is is the strength to keep going on no matter what happens) of one of Chekov's classics became the first production I was credited as "sound designer." The production was small, but large enough to give me a challenge. The most significant lessons learned were sound-effects creation, as well as the localization of sound. A radio placed on stage acted as a working speaker, where the actors were able to interact with it, make the volume change, and turn it on/off. Specific cues were called for this to happen.
